Cancer Drug Discovery Through Mitochondrial Science The company focuses on mitochondrial transport proteins belonging to the SLC25A transport family, which play a central role in cellular energy metabolism and cancer cell survival. At the core of MitoCareX Bio’s discovery engine is MITOLINE™, a proprietary computational platform designed to allow proper homology modelling of mitochondrial membrane proteins, particularly transport proteins. By enabling 3D structural modelling and large-scale virtual screening, MITOLINE™ opens access to a novel and largely untapped target space, allowing MitoCareX to identify small-molecule modulators that directly disrupt cancer metabolism with the potential of minimizing systemic toxicity.
